Montreal - Thursday, June 7, 2018

Members of the Impact visited two schools this year to remind young students of the importance of studying, persevering and building self-confidence in order to succeed.

The traditional “EMSB Night” will take place on Wednesday, June 13 (7:30 pm) when the Impact host Orlando City FC at Saputo Stadium. More than 2,250 tickets have been sold to EMSB students and staff for the game.

Before the game, the EMSB’s presence will be recognized and two students will be presented with the Tony Licursi Bursary, valued at $500 each. Mr. Licursi was the team’s statistician and a devoted member of the James Lyng High School Alumni Association. He passed away a number of years ago. The award recognizes excellence in school and sports.

This year’s winners are: Ronald Robinson from John Grant High School in Côte Saint-Luc and Isabella Marcelli from Pierre de Coubertin Elementary School in St. Léonard.
